  • A 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck the coast of Fukushima, Japan early this morning. The Japan Meteorological Agency issued a tsunami warning for waves of up to 3 metres in Fukushima, and a tsunami advisory for the northeast Pacific coast. Coastal residents in Japan were ordered to evacuate to higher ground.
  • Singapore take on champions Thailand in the Asean Football Federation Suzuki Cup Group A match, where a defeat will severely damage the Lions’ hopes of making the knockout stage. The match kicks off at 4.30pm.
  • Malaysian opposition lawmakers will march from Parliament in Kuala Lumpur to the police headquarters to hand over a memorandum urging the authorities to stop harassing Members of Parliament for raising issues in the House.
